The design process
Design shouldn’t be opaque. Yes, we’re experts, but it’s your space, and we want you to feel comfortable with every step of the process. When you work with us, here’s how that relationship will go.
STEP 1
Getting to know each other
In order to create a space that expresses you, we want to learn everything we can about your routine, needs, vision, and aesthetic preferences. Then, we’ll create a virtual mood board to make sure we’re all on the same page.
STEP 2
Developing the design
Based on the vision we’ve developed, we’ll put together a full layout and drawings for each aspect of the space. This also includes the furnishings, fabrics, and hard-finishes that we’ve chosen to round out the design.
STEP 3
Furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E)
Time to get to work. We’ll do a comprehensive analysis of all the components needed for your space, from major pieces of furniture to floor finishes to bespoke or ready-made details. We’ll source the pieces from our trade-only suppliers, and our project manager will manage the relationships with our suppliers and architects throughout the installation.
STEP 4
Art & interiors
Art is at the heart of what we do. We can design around a piece you have, source one-of-a-kind pieces to suit the design, or use our relationships with renowned artists to commission pieces to fit your space.
STEP 5
Staying in touch
We work hard to build lasting relationships, both with you and with our suppliers and contractors. There’s a reason we often end up doing multiple projects for the same client.
